Toltec Wisdom

A member of the West Hill family, Leslie Wright, shares something of Toltec wisdom, in particular the Four Agreements of Don Miguel Ruiz:

1. Be impeccable with your word.
2. Don’t take anything personally.
3. Don’t make assumptions.
4. Always do your best.

You can learn more about this on the web sites of Don Miguel Ruiz and also Sheri Rosenthal.

The Difference Between What & How

Guest speaker, David Barker, suggests that the questions we ask in our faith journey all boil down to one of two kinds: what questions or how questions. Then he goes on to suggest that while we spend most of our time trying to answer what questions, we might be better off paying more attention to the how questions. Because if we do a good job of answering the how questions, then the what questions will take care of themselves. He illustrates with several stories drawn from his own childhood, then concludes by wondering what a mature spirituality might demand of us.
